ResoLex's approach to commercial mediation is to encourage its use at an early stage.
Mediation has numerous commercial advantages.
Mediation is a powerful and successful process at any stage of a dispute, not least where an early commercial resolution has significant commercial advantages. It is successful in 70% to 80% of cases, usually with a mediation lasting only one day. It is a phenomenally efficient dispute resolution process.
Early stage
ResoLex encourages the use of mediation at an early stage, before vast sums have been spent on legal proceedings.
Never too late
However, it is never too late: mediation is always appropriate and is increasingly being ordered or encouraged by the courts (see the recent case of Burchell v Bullard).
