What is the value of difference to a high-performing team?

Wednesday 19th June 2019
Open 17.00 | Start 17.30 | Drinks 19.00 | Close 20.00
ResoLex 70 Fleet Street London EC4Y 1EU

The ResoLex Roundtable discussions have recently been looking at industry best practice in the area of collaboration and what we can learn from the present.

For the upcoming Roundtable we would like to examine the question; what is the value of difference in building a high-performing team?

Diversity has become a recurring theme associated with high-performing teams and successful businesses, with research suggesting a correlation between the diversity of the workforce and a company’s financial performance (Why Diversity Matters, McKinsey & Company, Jan. 2015).

How does the diversity of our identity relate to the diversity of our thinking?

How can we create a successfully collaborative and inclusive environment when we are all so different?

Dr. Howard Britton will be setting the scene, joined by a panel for debate and discussion.

Dr Howard Britton BSc (Econ), MSc.

Having initially trained as an economist, Howard has had several different careers over his working life including International Banking, and working as a Psychoanalyst.

For the last 11 years he has worked in the construction industry – most recently in preconstruction with responsibility for building teams to bid for large scale complex projects.

Howard is currently Work Winning Director for Skanska UK Infrastructure. He also leads the Special Interest Group on Attitudes and Behaviours at the Institute for Collaborative Working and is currently involved in a sub-group on Project 13.
