HS2 Collaboration Partner Team
The government is planning a new high-speed rail network, from London to Birmingham and to Manchester and Leeds, known as HS2.
The initial plan is for a new railway line between London and the West Midlands carrying 400m-long (1,300ft) trains with as many as 1,100 seats per train.
They would operate at speeds of up to 250mph – faster than any current operating speed in Europe – and would run as often as 14 times per hour in each direction.
This would be followed by a V-shaped second phase taking services from Birmingham to Manchester and Leeds.
The Department for Transport says there will be almost 15,000 seats an hour on trains between London and the cities of Birmingham, Manchester and Leeds – treble the current capacity.
What do we do for this project
Collaboration Partner Areas South
Working in partnership with KPMG we are virtual members of the HS2
collaboration team with the remit of acting as collaboration partner for Area
South. ResoLex leads on the behavioural and leadership elements with KPMG
leading on the technical and commercial.
The role supports the SLT with embedding collaborative working practices
and developing skills and competencies. A further set of specific
workstreams have been identified to help improve the collaborative maturity
of the teams that operate in the South Area, from Old Oak Common through
Collaboration Partner On Network Works
Again in partnership with KPMG we have a specific remit to support the
creating of a collaborative relationship between HS2 and Network Rail. This
is focussed on the On Networks Works but touches the wider HS2- NR
relationship. An initial collaborative assessment has been undertaken and a maturity development plan is being co-created and agreed for
Both collaboration partner roles are long term appointments with the
contracts in place to support the teams over a three-year period.
