Saving time and money
The Mediation Plus service is designed to avoid the time consuming introduction of a whole new dispute about which mediator to appoint. Often, the fact that one party has proposed an individual mediator promotes the other parties to decline that mediator out of principle.
Once a dispute has been refered to ResoLex, a member of the support team will speak to all the parties involved in the dipute to understand both the issues and the personalities involved in the dispute. Only once these facts have been established and the support team have a "feel" for the dispute will they suggest the mediatior they believe is the most appropriate for the mediation.
This decision will be based on personal knowldge of the mediators experience in dealing with the type of issues involved in the dispute and aligning the mediators personal style with the parties involved.
As a neutral body has proposed the individual mediator, rather than one of the parties, we have found consensus is reached much quicker.
