Alternative Dispute Resolution has been growing in theUKsince the early 1990s and during

this time mediation has proved its worth in the fast and effective resolution of disputes.

To achieve this growth it has been led by a limited number of dedicated mediators and mediation providers, these individuals and organisations have effectively covered a broad spectrum of disputes and have created a recognisable approach to the process.

I believe we are now seeing the second generation of mediators and mediation providers emerging. These are individuals who are already recognised professionals in their own industry but who have identified the importance of mediation in both dispute prevention and resolution.

ResoLex has grasped the initiative in pioneering specialist panels for vertical industry sectors, and providing the core organisation for the promotion and growth of the panels.  

The ResoLex Construction Panel is more than just a shop window for the selection of mediators. It is an active workgroup for exchanging experience, techniques and developing new and better working methods.

I believe ResoLex has a key role to play in both the development of mediation in the UK and the reduction of time and cost intensive litigation battles within the construction industry.

I offer my full support and best wishes to all the panel members and the ResoLex
